Paint it White
Paint it White is an awareness campaign that aims to help educate property owners, city officials and residents about the benefits of lighter surfaces within urban areas.
By adding more green space and building with lighter colored materials, we can offset what's knows as the urban heat island effect.
This project was published within the Green Patriot Posters: Images for a New Activism (2010) as well as Graphic Design: Now in Production.
Graphic Design: Now in Production was on tour from 2012-2014 at The Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum (New York), Hammer Museum (Los Angeles), Grand Rapids Art Museum and Kendall College of Art Gallery (Michigan), Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (Texas), Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (North Carolina), and Rhode Island School of Design (Rhode Island).
